Andrea, a native Tennessean, was born and raised in Cookeville. She earned her Bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee and proceeded to work 10 years as a registered nurse before returning to school. She pursued a master’s degree in nursing from Carson Newman University and obtained her board certification as a family nurse practitioner.
Prior to joining GIA, Andrea worked as a nurse practitioner in gastroenterology/hepatology locally. She began working for Gastrointestinal Associates in 2016. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers (GHAPP). She continues her education by participating in conferences/programs specifically in GI/hepatology.
In her time away from work, Andrea enjoys being a busy mom to three children and a wife. She also enjoys hiking, running, spending time with family and friends and cheering on the VOLS.
