Dr. Lindsey Shipley

Dr. Lindsey Shipley was born and raised in Jackon, Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and her medical degree at East Tennessee State University.

Before joining Gastrointestinal Associates, she completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During her training she was chosen to serve as chief medical resident and chief gastroenterology fellow. She has published multiple abstracts and articles on various topics within the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.

She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Gold Humanism Honor Society, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association.

She and her husband, Adam, have one son, Oliver. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, lifting weights and helping her husband with their garden and honeybees.
