Bio
Mark was born and raised in northeast Indiana and received his Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University and a master’s in nursing from Carson Newman University. For many years, Mark worked in the hospital setting with several different focuses including Orthopedics, Medical/Surgical, gastrointestinal, and preoperative. Mark was surrounded by healthcare professionals in his family and always felt his calling was to serve others through medicine. After serving his patients as a nurse for 16 years in multiple capacities, he went back to school to pursue his career as a Nurse Practitioner. After completing his master’s degree, Mark is happy to be continuing his passion of caring for others with Gastrointestinal Associates.
Mark lives in Knoxville with his spouse and his three children. In his free time he enjoys running, hiking, gardening, fishing, and being outdoors enjoying all the beauty that East Tennessee has to offer.
