Bio
Sara is an East Tennessee native and a graduate of East Tennessee State university where she completed her bachelors and masters of science in nursing. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to working in Gastroenterology, Sara was a travel nurse for many years. While earning her graduate degree, she worked as an endoscopy nurse in Knoxville and this is where she became interested in GI. She started working as an inpatient gastroenterology nurse practitioner at Fort Sanders in 2019 and continues in this role with GIA.
Sara enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two Labrador retrievers. She loves The Vols, outdoors and rock climbing.
