Bio
Shelby is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee before returning to Memphis to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Christian Brothers University.
Shelby is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). Prior to joining GIA in 2025, she practiced gastroenterology in the Maryville area for three years, where she gained valuable experience caring for patients with a wide range of digestive health conditions.
Outside of work, Shelby enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, walking and running, cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, and spending quality time with her husband and their twins.
