Sherrie Jenkins is a native East Tennessean and received her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Cleveland State Community College and her undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University .She worked as a Registered Nurse for 20 years, predominately in SICU and ER settings prior to pursuing her master’s degree at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale Tennessee .She is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC)and worked in family practice settings for nearly 10 years before joining Gastrointestinal Associates.
She is ACLS certified through the American Heart Association. Memberships include American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Nurse Practitioner (GHAPP).
Sherrie lives in Knoxville with her husband Randy. In her leisure time she enjoys family gatherings, boating and water sports, residential building & remodeling projects and traveling.
